Arcis Water Based Pomade

For this project I decided to design a Water-Based Pomade product. I decided to make this because Pomade was traditionally most popular between the 1940s - 1960s, and looking back at that time a lot of the design work has a very vintage feel which I hoped to represent, this gave me the opportunity to use hand lettering in order to pull back that 40s tone.

When naming my product I used the name “Arcis” as it was Latin for stronghold, I felt that was a suitable name for a hair product as it is what it does.  I wanted my product to have a professional feel to it and not just another product on the market, when it came to my target audience, I made sure to narrow it down to 20-30 well dressed, sophisticated young men, acting as the true gentleman. "True gentlemen" then became my brands phrase which I used on both packaging and the website.
